Biography
Imed Derouiche is a distinguished energy expert, consultant and professor specialising in renewable energy and green hydrogen. His experience covers petroleum engineering, geophysics and the carbon economy, built on a master's degree in geophysics and specialised certificates in renewable energy management and green hydrogen projects.
He has held academic roles at ENIT, ENIS, OGIM, the University of Kingston and Melbourne University. His industrial career spans leadership positions at PETROFAC, GLENCORE, TETHYS Petroleum Consulting S.A. and H2G Green Hydrogen, including twenty years as chief executive of TETHYS Petroleum Consulting, between 2003 and 2023.
He is a speaker at international events, has led seismic exploration and oilfield evaluation work worldwide, has served as a board member and vice-president of several energy companies, and is an active member of the SEG and the AAPG. He chairs H2GHUB.
He works in English, French, Italian, Arabic and Japanese.
