H2G-HUB is an international organization that specializes in the promotion of the Hydrogen industry. H2G-HUB will provide a meeting ground between governments, investors, and international civil society organizations with expertise in this field.

Studies can help us understand how we can process to transform consciousness to action, and action to behavior change.

H2G-HUB was created as a network of local offices coordinated by an international headquarters. All the local offices will work together on global training programs, events and communication strategies. The headquarters will support the local offices in promoting their activities on the local level.

Since our launch, we opened an office in both, Tunisia and Egypt, and we are currently in the process of opening an office in Oman and other countries in the region.

Who we are

Who we are

H2GHUB is a Tunisian non-governmental organisation dedicated to renewable energy and green hydrogen. We were founded on a simple observation: the countries of North Africa hold some of the best solar and wind resources on earth, sit a short distance from the world's largest hydrogen import market, and yet the projects, the skills and the public understanding needed to turn that position into an industry are still largely missing. Our work is to close that gap.

Our mission

H2GHUB is an NGO committed to promoting renewable energy and green hydrogen, with a focus on raising awareness about the importance of reducing carbon emissions. We pursue that mission through studies, through education, and through public communication — the three areas where a small organisation can still move a large subject.

Our vision

A North Africa that exports green molecules rather than importing fossil ones: a region whose solar and wind resources are developed for its own industry and its own electricity system first, and then for export to Europe, under terms that leave skills, infrastructure and value on the ground.

How we work

We publish our studies openly. We build training programmes with universities and employers rather than in the abstract. We say publicly what we think is wrong with a project — including when the project is announced in our own country — because a transition that is not argued about is a transition that does not happen. And we work across languages, because the hydrogen market we are trying to serve is French, English, Arabic, Italian and German speaking.

What guides us

Evidence before enthusiasm

Hydrogen projects are easy to announce and hard to finance. We publish the numbers, including the ones that make a project look difficult.

Water first

Green hydrogen is made from water, in countries that are already short of it. Any project that does not answer the water question has not answered the important question.

Skills stay local

An export project that imports its engineers has exported the jobs as well. Training is part of the infrastructure.

Open by default

Our studies, our data and our position papers are public, and our website is built to be read by machines as well as people.
